    maybe the first German citizen...certainly not the first German...and Id be surprised if no other German born but naturalized players weren't somewhere in the games early history...tons of German ancestry in the early years thru WWII. Heinie Groh...HeiniePeitz...lots and lots of others....would be interesting to research.

    OMG. Soft liner to left. Paul just absolutely botched it. Hits him in the stomach. But for some unknown reason, they send Rendon to the dish. Out by a mile to end the inning.

    Apparently Dusty was right. They needed Heisey out there for his defense...color me less than impressed by Paul.
