Everything that can be counted does not necessarily count; everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted.

When I see infield defense like the Nats have, it makes me appreciate even more how the Reds infield plays D.

If it weren't for Span, Votto would have somewhere near 19 homers this series.

I don't think the Reds really believe that Cingrani is ready and that the league will catch up to him. Otherwise, they'd have kept him as he's clearly one of the best 12 pitchers and wouldn't have to worry so much about that secondary stuff in a bullpen role.

As a starter, more seasoning won't hurt him. OTOH, if they think he can develop that stuff in the big leagues, maybe it will change.
how do you know the league is going to catch up to him? skeptics have said the exact same thing at every level he has pitched "just wait until the next level...." is he perfect...no, but he is pretty darn good and easily better than Leake right now...

I agree with this. i love cingrani as much as any, but if this season has shown us anything, it's that you need depth at every position. and putting leake in the pen makes him less able to make a quick transition back to the rotation if the injury bug strikes again. cingrani will be starting next season no doubt

Weather warms up, those will be HRs.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    KKKKK

Span to first as the ball squirts away from Corky and he can't find it. Bad break there.

Cingrani with a chance to tie the record of four K's in an inning.

Shot into the RF corner. Double from Espinosa. 2nd & 3rd with 0 outs.

Best swing of the bat against Cingrani today. Harper up.
