Three or four years ago, at this same point in his career, this board was calling Leake the next Greg Maddux. The second time around the league is a big adjustment. Need to keep everyone rolling and not assume he'll be successful all year. Send one off and Cingrani struggles, we're dealing Hamilton to fill a hole in the rotation. I like Cingrani, but I just think major leaguers will adjust unless he has more tricks in his bag. Those other levels weren't big league hitters. The real question is whether he can add those tricks to his bag at the big league level or not. Maybe he needs to throw his stuff against big league bats to develop it, but since they have 5 guys, I'd let him work on it at AAA.

I'm surprised by Tony's velocity. 96 fairly regularly. I thought he worked in the low 90's.

Werth walks. Bases loaded, 1 out for Desmond.

Yes Sir. Big time strikeout there.

K'd 4 batters in the inning. Only the 5th pitcher in Red's history to do so!
