Uh, looked like Corky's. Not anything I wanted to look at for sure.
Cozart with the sac fly to left. 5-1 Reds. Good job.
Unfortunately we only got one run. I still think we need a couple more.

Say what you will of Corky, but this guy has lived a dream many of us wish we could've. He got a taste of the bigs several times and he's had a long career playing baseball. And a valuable member of the minor league system in mentoring promising young pitchers. It's a role that gets overlooked quite often, but it's invaluable.

I won't say no to more runs for us...but I don't think the pen gives anything up the rest of the way.

Thom is doing that "pontificate about something he doesn't understand" thing again, and Chris isn't in there with him to bash him over the head for it.
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

Thom is being an obnoxious idiot right now.
They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

With the situation he's describing...he's right. But the problem is carrying that philosophy into OTHER situation.

Did Thom really just say that people think a walk is better than an RBI? He doesn't seem to understand why people value OBP.

    Re: 4/28/13 Reds v. Nationals

3-1 pitch and batter feels he can lift the ball to get the sac fly....or let it pass and take the walk. Thom's right IMO that you want to plate that run if you can.
