Yes, announcers have always paid too much attention to the stolen base. It gives them something to talk about.

Jay Bruce willed Frazier's strikeout. "Nobody takes the 5 spot from me," Bruce said under his breath.

This offense is unstoppable, Dusty is a genius!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Bruce with a sharp single to right....and Phillips does what we do baby...first to third!

Beat by the throw by a long way...but it was off line. Risky...but it worked.

Stupid play. Lucky it was a bad throw.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Not a fan of X starting against lefties.

Mildly surprised that Paul is getting the start against the LH. I figured it would be the switch hitting Robinson today.

Paul K's to end the inning.

I'll take that "stupid" all day long. Crazy what happens when you put pressure on the defense. Especially one that has been shaky.

The fictional striking out of the side.

Why not the SH Robinson against the lefty?

Yeah, I wouldn't call it stupid either. It was a risk to be sure....but that's a situation that you want to put the pressure on the defense. Force them to make a play. I've never been that impressed with Werth's arm but he made a very strong one there, off line, but very strong.

Looks like the bats are locked in today. Let's hope the rook brings the good stuff.

In terms of a normal play during the course of a game (not talking about walk offs/other drama), BP's double steal from first to third against the Dunn shift is my favorite Reds play of the last several years. Against the Nats I think.

Span hits it on the nose....liner right to Paul. 1 down. I know it was an out, but that was tagged.
