I think Corky was going to reach base sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Wow. Espinosa AGAIN! Grounder to third and Espinosa drops the ball. Everybody safe.

I think he should've been out at 2nd. He caught it, and lost it on the transfer. Davey's got a case.

...Of course Washington's defense sucks, so maybe we should be using little league standards when determining how aggressive to be.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

And Bo Diaz is dead, so that's really saying something.

BB to Cozart. Bases jacked for Mr. Votto.

Boom. Single to right for Votto. 3-0 Reds, still jacked for Phillips.

Anybody want to complain about 1st pitch swinging there?

A good throw and it's not even close. He'd have been out by 10 feet. It worked out, but it wasn't smart. Not a fan of making a play where all the opposition has to do is make a normal play to record the out. It's like saying a weak ground ball to 2B is a good PA because they made the opposition make the play.

I'd have scored that throw an error on the RF it was so poor.

I hate making outs on the bases more than any other single thing a team can do on a baseball diamond. It's worse than walking the pitcher IMO.
Good points all. If the Reds were hitting well and the Nats fielding well, I may feel differently. As it is...I like the play.

Dang. Smash right at 1st and Cozart is doubled off of 2nd. That was crushed too.

From my angle he never caught it.
