I've always assumed that when Cueto returns from the DL that Cingrani would be the one to go back down. If he keeps this up, I'm not so sure anymore. Anybody think there's a chance he stays and Leake goes down?

Perfect or imperfect...Cingrani get results. What's not to like about the guy.

    Reds Catcher Ernie Lombardi.

Lombardi's famous lack of speed allowed infielders to play him as deep as their arms would allow. He once joked that for three years he thought Pee Wee Reese was an outfielder before he realized Reese was the Dodgers' shortstop.

Good question, but a better one is who you send down. Parra will probably go when Marshall comes back. Then who?

DL for Parra I think. Yep, found it.

WASHINGTON — The Reds have activated left-hander Sean Marshall from the disabled list, sending left-hander Manny Parra to the 15-day disabled list with a strained left pectoral muscle. Parra’s DL stint is retroactive to Wednesday.

Marshall was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 10 with tendinitis in his left shoulder. He made two rehab appearances this week and was already in Washington with the team.

Marshall’s line appearance this season was on April 7 against the Nationals, before he was put on the DL.

Parra last pitched on Tuesday against the Cubs, earning the loss. He’s 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA in six appearance this year.

Leake with more than 3 years service time. Can't send him down without his permission.

Yep. Because he has options. There's plenty of time for Cingrani. I wouldn't rush Cueto if Cingrano continues to pitch well though. Be cautious.

Sharp hopper to first to end the inning.

3-0 Reds. I LOVE the way we're swinging the bats today. Just scorching the ball.
