    Re: Yellowstone Travel Tips?

When I was a kid, my parents blew through Yellowstone like it was a quick stop hamburger joint. Later in life, my wife's uncle told me of his experience back in the 50's, working there for the National Geologic Survey, venturing into places where he was pretty sure white people had never been. He said the public only gets to about a third of the park, it's that big.

There are a LOT of places like that out here, the deserts especially are vast and untouched, finding nothing is easy if you are looking for it.

Even if you're not looking for it.

When I was still on the road, I took a load one time from Billings to Salt Lake City in February and since I had time I decided to cut through Yellowstone on the way. The entire park was covered in snow. It was really quite scenic.
