We're sure losing a lot of well pitched games.

Boy, how times have changed. 2-1 games used to be rare but now are an everyday occurrence for this Reds team.

Or some of us (me included) need to come to the realization that Jay Bruce is a solid defender with some pop and big holes in his swing. I no longer consider these roller coaster rides with him so mind boggling, but rather the norm for a guy who is very average in many offensive categories.

This is the thing about which I'm most worried coming back to haunt us much later in the season. Every win counts the same and we need to win when our pitchers do what they can do. Lineup has to be able to reliably put 3 or 4 across if we're going to make real noise this year. They'll do it. Postseason is our destiny. I can feel it.

He learned a split finger fast ball that has been effective. Another thing St. Louis does and has done since the ownership took over in the mid-90's is putting their pitchers in positions to where they can be successful. The Marlins used him completely wrong.

I swear, players go to STL and it's like a dark pact was made with the devil on some crossroads. Used to think it was Dave Duncan brokering the souls, but not sure now.

If the pitching holds up, no worries. This team will hit eventually. Enough anyway.

Well if it's successful, I'll gladly burn in hell for championships lol

You keep pitching like this, you'll win a lot more than lose. That's why I'm trying to stay patient. This beats the alternative.

At the end of April, one game separates the top four teams in the N.L. Central.

That's what happens when you lead the world in runners left on base.

And it would be 10 wins if not for us lighting up the STL bullpen for 11 runs in our first visit there this year. I'm not sure we've scored a run against their pen since, even though everyone else seems to be scoring at will against them.

Edward Mujica went through the heart of the Reds' lineup the way Taylor Swift goes through boyfriends.
