Walk drought has ended. Votto on with 1 down.

Soto has played every day since April 20, and probably before that, I just don't have the previous game logs. He's on fire right now, so it's not too late, but Dusty liked Lutz in spring training so I guess that's all there is to it . . . .

A better question might be, if you can't hit in front of Joey Votto where can you hit? He's getting challenged on a daily basis and failing.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Votto stops drawing walks, and the Reds offense goes into a slump... Hmmmmmmmm

I agree but at the moment nobody hits like a #2 hitter...

Lutz can play LF. Probably the biggest factor in choosing him over Soto.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The disappointment in the Cards announcers voices makes me quite giddy.

Great call by Welsh. Hit and run works to perfection.
