And yes, I'll be there. I'm thinking of throwing out the first pitch...I like my odds.
I figure by September they will be about 50 games out of first, it will be football season and tickets will be dirt cheap.

Situational hitting is usually just another fancy way of saying they made an out. You want Mes trying for base hits, not trying to make an out.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Has Choo's batting helmet been in a war or something?

    Choo was due.

BTW-Sir_Charles, we want to see pics after you throw out that first pitch later this season.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Bo Porter will probably let him throw the first pitch as well as the next 80 or so. And bat leadoff.

Sure, is it to much to ask him to go the other way? If it is a hit, great, if not, you still move the runner up 90 feet.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.
