When they show him up close Corky looks like a grizzled ex-cop turned private eye cop show type.

But they are a good team.
If this score holds, the Reds will be 16-15. They've lost a lot of games they should have won. I guess we'll have to disagree then, because in my book the Reds aren't very good right now. I think they'll get better, or at least I hope so. My biggest fear is the injuries continue piling up and this turns into another 2011.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

Corky IS solid defensively, I don't think anybody can argue that.
Tucker is doing well. Like to keep him where he's at. Just play Mes 6 out of 7 and I can live with Miller for now.

    Welcome to Wrigley, rook.
Don't throw Soriano anything in the strike zone, let alone a meatball, at home. That's the only reason the Cubs signed him, to hit meatballs over the ivy.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Alonso will be playing 1B for the REDS and batting 4th one year from today. - Kingspoint, July 9, 2009

Cingrani grounds out just in front of the plate.

To me, a team is defined by the group of players that have been assembled. Now a good team can play bad and vice versa. Right now they are plodding along, with a winning record in spite of a relatively large amount of injuries. I don't see how they qualify as "not very good".

I'm not looking to parse words, but just saying, I'm underwhelmed to this point, but I'm not that worried about the rest of the year.

    Exactly.
Corky needs to know his role. If you don't get something to pull, you strike out and let the pitcher get his ab before the next inning.
