    Could be, definitely.

But a few times, including in the second inning, he just seemed defensive up there, like he just wanted to swing at any pitch he could touch and poke it to the outfield some place.

I'd rather see Mes strike out, say 18-20% of the time and hit for a bit more power.

solid points. 5 walks in 2 innings definitely is a gift. just seems like every scrub that puts on that uniform turns into ty cobb.

I expect a massive homestand from Votto. He's hitting quite well now. GABP should treat him well this coming week.

Okay, that stat stuns me. Jay now tied with Choo for team lead in doubles with 9.

A Bruce base-hit with a runner in scoring position??? Is there an eclipse today???Let's see if Frazier can get an exciting groundout to third.

That was one of the great moments of the season.

Cubs telecast showed Votto entering the dugout looking out at Bruce and giving him a fist pump. That's leadership. Bruce going through a bad stretch, Joey with a great show of encouragement.

    Frazier - two run single.
