Just saw this. Well played sir.

Anybody know where Servo is? I need someone to tell me if the Reds are good again or not.

    2. latos- Deserved better.

And the #1 star with the sweep - J. Votto. Good effort boys.

Hoover got off to such a miserable start this year but he has not let it effect him. He has regained his form nicely. That strikeout on Friday might have been the biggest out of the year. Good job kid.

Hard to tell. The Reds won, so by default they're good again....but it was against the Cubs, so I'm not sure if that counts as a FULL win.

I just checked the standings. They are crediting us with an official full win.

Crazy last few days for me, but we are indeed good again.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I think W-L is an interesting stat. It's perhaps least interesting in evaluating a starting pitcher.

For example, no Red pitcher has more than 2 wins currently this season. Yet two NL pitchers have 5. Tells us something about the nature of the team.

Also, W-L tells us something about relievers. IMO maybe more than starters.

Lutz is in on a double switch. Lecure is in. Hasn't been great lately.

I think some of these people here get too worked over the W-L stat.
We get that it is not the rue barometer of how good a pitcher is...but it does not mean it is a garbage stat. It just means some pitchers are unlucky when it comes to not getting enough runs scored...or better D behind them...or the bullpen will vulture his wins.
It happens to one pitcher every year. We know how good a pitcher is even if his W-L record is not that great.....but some here would wish it gone from the record books. That's silly.
