If the ump blew the call...I'm sure they already know it. If the umps can be influenced by arguing...they're not good umps.

And IMO, the stolen base missed call and the trapped call were both excusable. They looked like correct calls to the naked eye IMO. Only on the replay did I even notice that something was wrong.

And it wouldn't matter either way.

    Game threads are ridiculous.

Reminds me of how annoying Bobby Cox was when it came to getting on umpires about everything and yet.......it helped.

Baker knows when to argue and when not to. Sounds like nobody was in the right position to make that call. tonight was just one of those nights. Get them tomorrow.

Even if true, if I make a mistake and tell my client that that my mistake was excusable, my client says "I' not paying you to try your best or make execuses. I'm paying you to get it right."

    we're bad again
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

More reason to have replays. Get the calls right and you have a much better game. No reason not to have replays for these types of calls in MLB. They might be excusable but they were the wrong calls. When you have the technology to get calls right why not use it?
