So much for the idea that Homer was going to become a big time pitcher this year. So inconsistent.

It wasn't overrated yesterday, won't be overrated tomorrow, but is tonight?

Bailey having a hard time controling his breaking ball tonight. But his fastball looks great.
"Man, the pitch looks fast, even in slow motion." Thom Brennaman on Chapman's fastball.

Weirdest thing in baseball: Striking out "the side."

JA Happ of TOR was just hit in the face with a line drive. He's been on the ground nearly 10 minutes. Looked like blood coming out of his ear. Pray for him.

Apparently he gave a faint wave as he was stretchered off the field, thank god.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Can't believe pitchers still have zero protection from that kind of thing. Awful news.
