An Upton free lineup for the Braves. Didn't know Bob Boone managed the Braves.

The Reds played a game Wednesday May 8th 2002, with Boone as the manager. Here was the lineup:

    Barry Larkin SS
    Juan Encarnacion CF
    Sean Casey 1B
    Austin Kearns RF
    Adam Dunn LF
    Aaron Boone 3B
    Todd Walker 2B
    Corky Miller C
    Jose Rijo P

Raise your hand if you thought in Corky would be the one from this lineup still on the Reds in 2013.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

I bet Simmons wishes he could play the Reds every day.

Andrelton Simmons gets a first-inning single and my Dunkin Donuts' 'Beat the Streak' is off and running.
