    Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?

A local radio personality I'm friends with on Facebook says that something big is brewing with the Reds and Marlins. Anyone heard anything?
If you're watchin' a parade, make sure you stand in one spot, don't follow it, it never changes. And if the parade is boring, run in the opposite direction, you will fast-foward the parade. --Mitch Hedberg

Stanton is on the DL. Do the Marlins even have another player that could be considered big?

Yep, their prospects. They've got some good ones.

Right, but I think we can agree that we would not be trading with the Marlins for their prospects.

    Upper level outfielder? Yellich?

I don't think there's anything to this, but our AAA team is kinda bare don't you agree?

Bare, it's non-existent. The Reds front office should be embarrassed by what is in our minor leagues right now. I don't understand how we could have been put in this position when just a couple of years ago when they were boasting how great the minor league system was. We haven't brought up or traded that many prospects. And I am wondering how much was exaggerated regarding the
    quality of the players.

I feel like all of Walt's trades come out of nowhere, so I'm not expecting much to come of this.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

They got Juan Pierre, and he's been a Reds target before.

No need to be a jackwagon.

This guy has some inside sources- hosted a sports talk show in Cincy. I know him personally, he just said it's Stanton but can't share who he heard it from.

I was just asking, which apparently is heresy around here.

How is it being a jackwagon? How many reliable trade rumors are started by local radio personalities on facebook?

    Come on now...
