I can see saving Leake for a possible PH -- but asking Simon to bunt is a low percentage move IMO

    I miss Raisor

That must be the rationale. I completely disagree with it.
Maybe, but if so at least use a guy who's a good bunter. Bronson? Leake?

The thing is, starting pitchers simply aren't ready to hit on a moments notice. They don't have their spikes on, heck they are probably not even wearing a cup.

But IMO, with Choo up next, you have to play for the big inning there. I would have used somebody to hit.

    Whatever, onward.
The book says play for the tie at home, we're up runs, so we gotta give up outs to try and get that tie situation.
    Is it "next season" yet?

I love Aoki. The Brewers have gotten such a bargain with that guy.

I often wonder if other managers just kinda go, "Wha....?" with some of Baker's moves?

Starting pitchers are asked to PH and PR several times a year. And it's only bunting. I guarantee you Arroyo or Leake could lay down a bunt barefooted.

Again, I completely disagree with Dusty's move, although Choo and Cozart did nothing so it probably made no difference.

Quite concerned about this inning, some good bats up and Lecure doesn't look sharp so far.

this dumb move not batting for Simon better not come back to haunt the Reds tonight and they blow this game...

Lecure walks two guys to set up Braun. I fear this game is trouble. Price coming out.

    Reds need some luck here.

Not read the game thread tonight but I thought the plan all along was some combination of Marshall/Broxton/Chapman once it got to the 7th with a lead?
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

And here we go, biggest at-bat of the game and our fourth best reliever on the hill.

As I said earlier, the Brewers are heavily righty power lineup.

Dusty tends to stay away from Marshall against such a lineup.
