did not say he was sharp -- just pointing out that Baker can - will and does let Chapman sit for extended periods.

And no -- It is not how I would do it.

When Chapman goes idle for a few days, he struggles. Of course that last run was more of a case of defensive indifference than Chapman's wildness or whatever, but why can't he pitch when it isn't a save situation to keep him sharp?

Jeez O Pete. Don't start that please. Feast/famine. I'm not saying they're a bad hitting club. It's quite obvious they're not. I'm saying they have the ability to hit better when it matters most. Are you saying they producing as well as they can when hitting w/ runners in position?

What flew off the ball on chapmans pitch to the last batter? They replayed it because cowboy called it a splitter but it was a change up....the slow motion showed something coming off the ball......we rewinded that frame about 10 times, something was on the ball and flew off as it was released from chapmans fingers......

Not saying he was cheating....could have been a ring, a bandaid on a finger...could've been anything but it for sure was in his hands.....

If you still are watching the postgs me go back and rewind it till the last batter comes up and wait till they show the replay of chaps pitch in the dirt. You'll see what I am referring to.....both cowboy and Thom were silent for at least 10-15 seconds after they showed the slow motion so I am assuming they seen it too.

DatDude told Pic that's the no. 1 or 2 defensive play he's ever made. Then he decided it was no. 1.

I'm saying that they have been the best team in the National league in scoring with RISP.

It was a moth flying by. Watch it again in regular time. You can see it pretty clearly.

Now lid spinner said for sure it was in his hands. Who's a man to believe?

Replayed it multiple times. Didn't see a thing. And the announcers were not silent afterward either.
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12
