I want a sac fly here just so George can bust out "get 'em on, get 'em over, get 'em in".

Damn. K swinging. 2 down. That hurt.

Up to Leake. Let's go Mike, help your own cause.

Well, that sucked. Gotta get that run home boys.

That ball bounced up there (in front of the dish) and Leake was checking his swing and hit it on the first hop. Ground out. *sigh*

I don't really like the way this game seems to be headed.

Mes didn't have a real good at bat in that inning. Has to lay off that high pitch, it wasn't near the strike zone.

Serious question...is that right? If the ball bounces up there, can you hit it AFTER it hits the ground? Or is the pitch called one way or the other once it hits the ground?

Thanks. I'm not sure I've seen it before. I probably have and didn't think much of it.

When Jay Bruce is hot and Mike Leake is on his A game, I think this is the best team in baseball.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Okay, then how about THIS question. The ball bounces in front of the plate, but crosses the plate in the strike zone without the batter swinging. Is it a strike? Does it only matter where it is when it crosses the plate, no matter what happened BEFORE it reached the dish? I just can't imagine an ump calling a bounced ball a strike...but the more I think about it...that might just be the case.
