Is Jay Bruce one of the top 10 players in MLB when he's "hot"

He's literally a Jekyll and Hyde player if i ever saw one.

When he's off, he is as worthless as Miguel Ciaro. When he's hot, he's on the same plateau as Votto and Miguel Cabrera.

What do you think is he the top 10 in terms of performance when he's on his "Hyde" Hot streaks.

Are you really wanting to mess with the mojo he's got going? I'm going to have to bump the "Will Jay Bruce EVER start hitting thread"

It's like the 9th inning of a no hitter, don't look at Jay right now!

Everything that can be said about Bruce and his streakiness has already been said a few times in the twenty or so threads already created on the subject,

He's never "off" defensively. Opponents refuse to ever take a chance on his arm. It's as certain as death and taxes. He's the most under-appreciated Red, IMO -- at least on ORG.

Bruce will be a top 20 Red in many many offensive categories. So will Phillips and Votto.

No offense to RedTruck, but he's put up back to back klunkers as far as interesting thread topics go. He's always been a streaky poster though, so I'm not gonna count him out.

Assuming he winds up with a .850+ ops what does it matter if he is streaky?

I've predicted the Reds will win over 100 games. I really don't care how they get there. Same with Bruce

And he's "only 25". That still sounds odd to me.

    Yup.

I think he'll actually end up better than .850.

By the way, I know watching him when he is in a funk is maddening. But that is a different issue

Oops, forgot his recent birthday. Seems like he's been a Red forever.

Then what about Homer. He's 27. *grin* Talk about someone who feels like he's been around here forever.
