Maybe marshall isn't available. Thats the only thing that makes sense. Even then you don't let latos pitch to Ankiel.

I draw the line at being here where people are wishing bodily harm to happen to players or coaches. I know it's upsetting that we're tied again but seriously, that's not right.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Events like this make me wonder if we will ever see a World Series with Baker managing this team. He just isn't a strategy manager.

    Worked like a charm. Swish!
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

Somebody is going have to really step up here. It would be easy for these guys to pack it in.

    Simon and Broxton warming.

Marty and Brantley are both suggesting that Marshall probably isn't available today. No clue why, but they're guessing that somethings' wrong based on the situation.

he's fine. And how do you know this wasn't price's decision? But whoever it was on, it was dumb.

I agree it was a stupid idea to leave Latos in (whoever's idea it was)

But can we seriously stop with the "every loss is Dusty's fault, every win is a win in spite of his managing"

Dusty is the manager, it is his decision. And if Dusty let Price make the decision it is still Dusty's decision. Period.
What if this is as good as it gets?

Look, I have to say I think you're all wrong to blame Dusty, and I'm no Baker apologist.
There are a lot of people on this forum that insist Latos is our ace. At worst he's 1B. He's having a great year. He was having a good game. He'd given up2 runs thru 6. He was at 87 pitches. He had a 2/1 k/ball ratio. YOU RUN HIM OUT FOR THE 7TH EVERY TIME.
You can make the argument that you pull him against Ankiel, but saying you don't let him start the inning has the benefit of hindsight.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

I agree with you. Yet, we're tied right now because of Dusty.

You do understand that Latos wanted to stay in the game, and that he'd be the first to defend Baker for leaving him in?

And, as has been suggested, it looks very likely like Marshall in not available for todays game.
