Choo actually has slumped during this road trip. His numbers are still so good so people don't focus on it too much.

Right now, Votto is clearly the team MVP. Which you can say almost any time, it's usually true.

Scott Rice is leading the league in relief appearances so far. More evidence that big money towards relievers isn't money particularly well spent.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Well, I did...and I didn't. I knew he'd done it, but I really assumed that someone must've done it before him...especially considering how long we've been around. Oh well.

Has anybody done it after Ray? Somebody posted that they thought someone did.

There was an episode of Mr. Ed where he had a try out with the Dodgers and hit an inside the park home run complete with a slide in to home. I'm pretty sure Harvey's a human, though.

Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Now Mets are showing Collins and Ike Davis in dugout. Collins might be telling Ike you need to charge the ball and cut off the runner at home. Ike kind of stayed back.

    Interesting telecast.

I think that fellow mho is always smiling is right up there.
Sometimes I forget how good BP has been as a Red. Since 2009, Phillips has the 24th highest WAR in all of baseball. Votto is 3rd.

Lefty specialist. Not a good example.

Now a lead off single off Latos. Just don't understand why Dusty lets him go longer in this game.

Pitch count is ok, but it's been a tough, close game. I just wouldn't handle it this way.

Lead off single to center for Buck.

If nobody's up yet...I get someone up. If someone IS ready, I go get him if another reaches.

Gutsy play there by Hannahan to go to 2nd there. Tough angle.

Discussing the dugout incident reminds me what Bob Uecker said about the fight between Reggie and Billy Martin (or maybe between themarshmellow salesman and Billy Martin):

"Just your run of the mill fistfight"
