More brilliant managing by Dusty Baker. You can't make this stuff up.
"I talked to an advance scout that told me if Joey Votto and Albert Pujols were on the same team he'd advise his team to do the unthinkable...pitch around Votto to get to Pujols." - Buster Olney, ESPN

Sigh. Ankiel has been hitting Latos all day. What on earth was Dusty thinking.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Two run lead in this ballpark. This is all on Baker and Price. You don't let latos get beat by these left handed hitters. That was rediculous.

"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Are they trying to argue it was a ground-rule double?

    Understand. Just completely disagree.

This is a high leverage, tough game. Pitch count, innings, just don't show the impact on the pitcher.

Latos fades later in games. Full bullpen available.

I think the Reds are now likely to lose this game, I give the advantage to the home team. It was avoidable.

I've been saying it for several posts now, if I knew it, Dusty should have known it.

Remind me why we paid for Marshall again?
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

We didn't have anybody ready to come in, so Latos had to keep pitching. This is 100% on Dusty. Just another in a long line of stupid managing moves by him.
