Davis has to field that ball no matter what the umpire rules. He can't assume its going foul. Usually those types of rollers are called foul but in this case it wasn't and Davis paid for it. I could never tell what it was. Not a good TV angle was ever shown. Like someone else says Davis looks defeated. He's just totally lost in the field and the plate. It wouldn't surprise me if the Mets release him any day now.
