Really? 4 days off is excessive? I'd be concerned with 6 days. 4? That's no big deal. That's time to start looking to get him some work. Which he is. Personally I think Dusty's handled this perfectly considering his options at the start of the game.

Castro strikes out! We're still tied going to bottom of the ninth.

If only Hoover had pitched the 8th.

Nicely done, JJ. Surprised they went after Castro there, but I'll take it.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Rather than a high leverage situation, more accurately it was a meaningful situation. IMO Dusty has gone to Logan too often in meaningful situations lately. Logan is better off as a sixth inning type. Logan didn't make the team initially and now has 18 outings.

So, if it were me, I'd have used somebody else there. Hoover or Simon. (Not Parra until the lefties.)

You make a good point, it's no excuse that Logan blew up. But I wasn't happy to see him out there. Just my view, hopefully it all works out in the end.
If Simon had been used, many would have complained if he had blown up and suggested that Logan was the better choice.

    That's how RedZone works.

Over the last few weeks, the bullpen has been the one shaky problem. Great starting pitching, great defense, hot hitting by Votto and BP, timely hitting by everone else, and shaky relief pitching.
