Damn. If only Simon had pitched the 8th, 9th and 10th.

It's probably never a good idea to plan on using a reliever who is used to going 1 inning for two, unless you have no other choice.

    As you can now see.

Chalk another loss up to the Dustinator.

I guess he'll prevent us from winning 110 games again like last season.

Hoover allowed one run in two innings.

That wins the game if he goes the eighth and ninth.

    Two things:

    1. How is Frazier not guarding the line there to prevent a double? Amazingly bad.

    2. Nice 3-2 curve ball against Hairson. You get what you ask for there. You walk the go-ahead run on a 3-2 curve ball. Throw the heater.

We STILL win this game. I have faith in my Reds AND in the Cubs. We WILL walk this off.

    Whatever. That makes no sense.

Part of the reason the bullpen is mysteriously worn out all the time, despite our starters going 6 and 7 innings almost every game, is because Dusty WON'T let a guy pitch 2 innings in relief.

Another idiotic Dusty way of thinking. Just plain stupid.

Let's see, Dusty does what you wanted to do - pitch Hoover for two innings - but now Dusty screwed up?
