Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Someone could pick the winning lotto numbers, but it doesn't mean they did anything smart.

Leake was pitching really well with no signs of letting up. He made a good pitch and tip your cap to the hitter. There's absolutely no reason he should have been taken out prior to that batter.

Love of being liked by players is stronger than his sense of situation.

Just in that instance, I would have pinch hit Leake or took him out after the K of Stubbs. Give me a curtain call if you want to build the kids self esteem.

Exactly. I don't know why anybody wanted to go to the pen to start that inning. Leake was cruising.

Tend to agree. But playing devil's advocate, why would you then remove him from the game? If it was just one pitch (and a pretty good one) seems like he'd stay in the game.
Rounding third and heading for home...

What in the world are you talking about? Leake was at 91 pitches, hadn't allowed a walk all day, had 7 k's, and only allowed 4 hits. His one run was unearned due to the error by Brandon.

2 outs with a man on first, and you want to pinch hit for Leake who's rolling AND who's nearly as good a hitter as any pinch hitter on our bench. Really don't get the thinking there. Different strokes though.

Leake was rolling, struck out the first hitter of the inning, and Broxton has hardly been shut down this year.

Leake threw a good pitch and dude hit it out. It happens. He didn't leave Leake in because he wanted to be loved by the players. It's not like he was trying to get Leake a CG. He thought Leake was a better option the Broxton.

Now taking Leake out as soon as he gave up a HR, that is protecting his player from getting an L.
