A productive out at least, even though I hate first pitch swinging.

Bruce flies out to center. But we recapture the lead. 2-1 heading to the 7th.

Tigers with Verlander pitching leading the Pirates, 4-1, 6th inning.

Soft flair into short left...Cozart runs it down. 1 down.

Hitters hit better on the fist pitch than on any other.

You fall behind 0-1, and you've become a substantially worse hitter.

Phillips always finds a way to get the run home with a runner on third and less than 2 outs.

And the Reds announcers mention Dunn's lack of sacrifice flies. The day simply wouldn't have been complete without it.

Reynolds singles to right on the first pitch. Indians catching on that Leake has been pounding the zone and getting 1st pitch strikes on nearly everyone.

For whatever reason, the Reds are dead last in MLB in batting average when first pitch swinging, second to last in OPS.

At what point do we start thinking about Leake as the ace of the staff?

If the 7th was the last inning for Leake todays start will be his 3rd start in a row without a earned run allowed. Today's been impressive considering the competition.
