http://marksheldon.mlblogs.com/2013/...ame-55-at-pit/When Rodriguez steps on the mound on Friday at PNC Park, he'll look for his fifth win in as many starts, a streak that dates back to May 10. In the previous four victories, Rodriguez has a 3.00 ERA while striking out 16 in 24 innings. For the season, the 34-year-old left-hander owns a 3.58 ERA, with a 6-2 record. Rodriguez has surrendered more than three runs on just one occasion this season, when he gave up seven on six hits and four walks in just 3 2/3 innings in Milwaukee at the end of April. That consistency has helped the Pirates to an 8-2 record in Rodriguez's starts this season.
Here is tonight's UNI*The Reds and Pirates will be wearing throwback uniforms tonight. Cincinnati’s uniforms will be replicas of the 1937 Cincinnati Tigers Negro League kits.
*Tonight also marks the 1,000th game to be played at PNC Park. The Reds were the winners of Game No. 1 here by an 8-2 score as Sean Casey’s first-inning home run off Todd Ritchie was the stadium’s first hit. Casey will be working as an analyst for Fox Sports Ohio this series.
