Getting some work in in the field? Beats me.

I think LeCure was up and warming before it got to 6-0 and just have him wrap it up instead of having someone else get loose.

He's having a heck of a year so far in limited playing time.

Seems like the kind of thing Dusty would do for a guy who's about to be sent down.

And that's it. LeCure preserves the one-hitter and the shut-out, 6-0 victory for the Reds!

    Solid pitching performance. One hitter.

Yeah, he and Chapman were warming. But if LeCure was the fall back in case we blew it open, the question remains...why LeCure. Could've warmed up a scrub...well, scrub is a poor choice of words, but a not so important arm to warm up with Chapman.

And this one belongs to the Reds! 1 hitter!

Maybe they are hoping he can channel his inner Dave Parker since they are in Pittsburgh.

A one hit shutout against one of our biggest rivals this season to start off the series... Cheers!

    We're good again
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I like it that the Reds didn't let the big kid off the hook.
