And another three-up, three-down inning for Cueto.

Well, that batting average can't improve if they never swing at the first pitch again, right?
Only teasing. It depends on the pitcher. If the guy has trouble throwing strikes, you go deeper into the count. Some pitchers you jump right on.
It also depends on the situation. Sometimes you expect the pitcher to throw a get ahead fastball, you swing.
There's no right or wrong on this.
Phillips with a nice catch. He's no Darwin Barney.
DatDude makes it look easy!
Sean Casey's laugh has become my least favorite part of playing in Pittsburgh.

Just saw that the Cards sent Boggs down again for the second time this season.
Chat is open!
Hanigan grinded out that walk. Nice AB
I don't have any problem with some of the more disciplined hitters swinging on any count, (Votto, Phillips) even 3-0, or 0-0.
It's the guys who get over anxious and get themselves out.
This bunt play with Cueto is doomed, Hanigan is so slow.
Cueto fans. I'll take it.
And instead they had him swing and he struck out.
Gotta keep Hanigan close.
