Good news. Just bruised, they said. Nice to hear it wasn't something major.

BP got x-rayed and they came back negative. Just a bruise.

Why would he go to the DL?

Like Ed pointed out, he actually had a very good month. He's fine. People just worry too much.

No Reds fan truly has confidence in Broxton right now.
Original post said that he cannot get anyone out right now. May is a pretty good small sample to use when looking at "right now".

Yeah, but when he hit the ground could be a problem. 6.8 richter scale

Choo strikes out. Time to wrap things up in the bottom of the ninth!

People don't worry too much. People just didn't like the trade for him and then subsequent extension, and therefore need to complain whenever the guy walks on the field.

C'mon Chapman lock this thing down.

Because according to a few people here....he gets tired easily and gets sore and cannot go too long or more than 2 games in a row. Chapman can never go 3 games in a row. Marshall could not figure out how to work himself into shape and Broxton is back to pitching like his last year with the Dodgers.

The Reds bullpen should be called the Glass Menagerie.

You can toss out all the stats you can find, but I still don't have a lot of confidence in Broxton. Not as much in Chapman this year either.

What does Chapman have to do with the ridiculous comment that Broxton is "hot garbage?"

That's a strawman if I've ever seen one. Now apparently if you're not as good as one of the 2-3 best relievers in the game of baseball, you suck.

The stats about May have to do with whether Broxton is 'fine' recently. There's no evidence to suggest he's not. If you want to look at sample sizes.... sure, go ahead and look at Broxton's whole career. That would only help my case.

I realize he's not as dominant as he was before the injury. But even looking at Broxton in the last two seasons alone, he's still a decent pitcher.

Here are his stats as a Reds' pitcher:

    43 2/3 IP
    3.50 ERA
    3.5:1 K:BB
    0.61 HR/9
    3.22 FIP

    Those are solid numbers.
