Minor League Updates - Sunday 6/2/2013

    Rancho Cucamonga at Bakersfield.

    Jon Moscot had a ragged outing. Nice peripherals though. 6IP 6H 4R 4ER 1BB 7K.

Blaze are making the most of their five hits. Ryan Wright has doubled and knocked in a run. Nick O'Shea has doubled and scored. Marquez Smith has singled and come home on Steve Selsky's third roundtripper in two games.

Bakersfield trails 4-3 heading into the seventh.

Dayton is playing host to Lake County.

As noted in another thread, Drew Cisco came out of the game in the fourth. 3.1IP 6H 2R 2ER 0BB 1K. Tony Amezcua has pitched three innings of one-run baseball in relief.

Dragons have the bats going, pounding out 11 hits so far in the process of scoring 8 runs. They have stolen 6 bases. Junior Arias now up to 30 in that category.

Seth Mejias-Brean, Joe Hudson and Arias each have two hits. Amaral and Terry each have tripled. Jesse Winker has singled and walked. Arias is intriguing. He has a walk and a double. He seems to have a little pop, excellent speed. We will have to see how that CF experiment works out.

Dayton leads 8-3 in the 7th.

Kyle Lotzkar comes on in the 8th and severely increases the degree of difficulty of a Blaze win by giving up a single, hitting a batter and then surrendering a 3-run jack. El'Hajj will pitch the ninth. Bakersfield down 7-3.

Wandy Peralta pitches a scoreless 8th and Sean Lucas will be on in the ninth to close things out. Jesse Winker picked up his second hit of the game in the bottom of the 8th.

    Dios mios!
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Also of note, El'Hajj Muhammad, the team's lockdown closer, appeared to injure his leg in the 9th inning

So did Drew Cisco, although redsmetz was at the game and said it looked like a blister.
