NL All-Star Voting

I'd be more than fine with Chapman as the only Reds P in the game. Let's our guys get a break and reload for the 2nd half.

I'd rather the staff stay underrated and driven (and extremely effective) than hyped up and cocky.

I never want a Reds pitcher in the All-Star game. Much rather have them go fishing.

They should be cryogenically frozen in between starts and over the entire offseason.

It's not like that's the sole criteria. They will probably have one or two StL guys going - if they can stay healthy - Harvey from the Mets, that kid from AZ who is 9-0, Samardzija from the Chubs, Kershaw from L.A. Maybe Burnett from PIT then they round it out with closers like Kimbrel, Chapman, etc

I realize that, and it's my fault for not making myself clear. I didn't mean just the All-Star Game; I meant in general. They (announcers, beat writers) always talk up a pitcher's good record (or bad record). There are so many variables that go into a win and/or a loss, that I just don't get why it holds so much weight in anyone's mind when evaluating a pitcher's worth.

Hilarious ... BJ Upton is running ahead of Jay Bruce and Matt Kemp. Upton might be the first player ever to make the MAJOR League All-Star game while being demoted to his AAA affiliate. Maybe people were trying to vote for his brother but got the wrong Upton.

Draw your own conclusions here... but people never vote for Jay Bruce in this.
