MLB said they would drop the lawsuit they filed against him, indemnify him for any liability arising from his cooperation; provide personal security for him and even put in a good word with any law enforcement agency that may bring charges against him. Seems like pretty good incentive to testify if you ask me.

    Homie on a roll.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Do the Reds really have no one more ready than Lutz?

    Perez looks good in AAA.
Robinson is hitting good and has speed.

I'd like to see Lutz do some time in AAA and get some good at bat time. Lutz will be a beast.

Votto needs a day off. Period. If we win this one, let Votto rest. We need the Votto of a couple weeks ago against the cards.

Dusty has been talking about giving Votto a day off. I think Phillips getting hurt threw a wrench into those plans.

His at bats haven't been as intense and his routine defense isn't routine.

Sweet double play there to get us out of trouble! No damage done, still 3-3.
