He was drafted as a catcher but never played that in the minors. He was always slotted for the outfield.
They are saying he has bursitis and may need the bursa sac removed. Of course once Dr. A gets ahold of him its no telling what will happen.

The way our bullpen is getting pounded and our offense shuts down after scoring 4 runs in the first inning, why am not so confident?
Plus the month of June is a brutal schedule for the Reds. We'll know more come July 4th.
He may be like Gary Carter and they move him back to catcher to keep him from killing himself in the OF.

I don't think they have any plans at all to move him to catcher. I think they believe he would kill himself even faster at catcher.

They probably won't move him but while he may get worn down quicker being a catcher, he may not get the injuries he does playing in the OF.
The Cards are dealing with just as many injuries as we are I think...just sayin'.
