Please limit this thread to confirmation of draft picks signing or refusing to sign. While discussion can still take place here, please take discussion of specific prospects or draft rounds/days to other threads to make the news of signings easy to look through so that this list can be up-to-date.

    Thank you!

I thought the signings screamed "spreadsheet". So I made one instead of doing some actual work I should be doing.

Besides showing the draft status in shades of green, yellow and red, the sheet will calculate where the Reds stand in relation to the Draft Pool (money they are allowed to spend).

Players signing under budget will display in green, over budget (should that actually happen), in red.

Re: 2013 Official Draft Picks and Signings Thread

Appreciate the thread, suggest we provide the state in which the high schools are located. Gahr High School doesn't mean much unless somebody adds CA to it.

Thanks, look forward to this list containing some future Reds stars.

I'll do my best- I remember from last year that it got tricky with some of the later guys.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Re: 2013 Official Draft Picks and Signings Thread

Buckley said he expects Ervin to sign quickly.

Also re: Armstrong, Thompson and Mahle:

Reds senior director of amateur scouting Chris Buckley said based on conversations with each of the three high school players drafted on Friday, he feels good about the organization's chances of signing them to professional deals.
    Also re: Mahle

He is committed to play at UCSB, where his brother, Greg, plays, but Buckley said after talks with all three high school players taken on Friday, he thinks there's a good chance the Reds will be able to sign Mahle.

    More confirmation of Mahle's intentions

"Mahle, who had committed to play at UC Santa Barbara, said he expects to sign with the Reds."

Re: 2013 Official Draft Picks and Signings Thread

This indicates that 27th Rounder Collins will not sign and that 14th Rounder Abreu wants $450K and the Reds have offered him 450K!!

Shout out to my Alma Mater. Pretty damn cool to get drafted by your hometown squad.

Re: 2013 Official Draft Picks and Signings Thread

Can we make sure they are not bolded until actually confirmed they signed? A lot of kids may want to sign, but doesn't mean they will right now. Bonuses still have to fall in place.

*Great thread...this is always a go to throughout the summer.

    Unofficial Draft Signings Spreadsheet

I thought the signings screamed "spreadsheet". So I made one instead of doing some actual work I should be doing.

Besides showing the draft status in shades of green, yellow and red, the sheet will calculate where the Reds stand in relation to the Draft Pool (money they are allowed to spend).

Players signing under budget will display in green, over budget (should that actually happen), in red.

If this was a link in the first post of the "Official" thread that would eliminate the need for this thread.
