Nope Sandberg to the Phillies. With him and Crawford, they're having a pretty nice draft.

    Now we're hoping for...Tarpley?

Yikes, now I know I'm getting old - the Chisox just drafted Lee May's grandson, Jacob May (Lee May Jr.'s son and, they noted, grand nephew of Carlos May).

May is a speedy, switch-hitting leadoff type.
    Must take after grandma.

I just don't get drafting a player not in the top 100 in the 2nd round. Seeing all these names go off the board is painful.

He would also be the 2nd active baseball player behind Cord Phelps for the Indians with the name Cord. Which begs the question: Since when is 'Cord' a name?
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Actually Jacob Brentz, Garrett Williams or Dustin Driver could be interesting as well...

Also wonder if this is when the Reds tag Crowe, if there's any truth to that...

Now is the time for the Reds to take a guy who fell for signability reasons. No one they've taken so far should come close to breaking the bank...

Strikes a chord with you, does it?

I'd say the Phillies are having a very Phillies draft. The keep reaching into the tool shed.
