Is Armstrong supposed to be a tough sign? I didn't see that anywhere.

Two kids on my radar at the moment are Chandler Eden and Jake Brentz.

Every prep player is committed to some college. That doesn't necessarily mean they really want to go.

I've seen quite a bit of Biggio...color me impressed with the kid. But the Houston franchise would go bonkers if they got him.

Buckley plays the dollars game very well....I am betting he is going off chart a bit for upside AND for signing strategy. You can't just blindly pick the next guy on the prospect chart unless you have a strategy to sign them...and the dollar limits play into it...he did it last year too...going for better later picks with savings from rounds 1a thru 5 or 6 but still getting upside ie the Hamilton pick...I liken 67 to that strategy...rough ultra upside but power rather than speed this time.

I don't know. If Houston wanted Biggio, it's had ample opportunity to pick him.

In quasi-related news, the Mets just picked Lee Mazzilli's kid.

True...usually depends on draft slot and dollars now vs can I improve by going to college...plus is the kid high on academics? 67 strikes me as I want to play ball while 107 seems harder...just my take reading on both

Probably correct. I suspect he also lined up Armstrong last night or this morning before making that pick.

Sorry, I meant the fan-base going bonkers.

Is Stephen Gonsalves, drafted by the Twins, related to the Ghost Hunters guy? Should I be embarrassed that I immediately made this connection?
It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.

Dang! I am too. I remember seeing junior play in rookie ball at Kingsport Tennesee. Never made it to the show of course but still.......
