Remember who the pitchers were. That has some bearing on the results. I love Leake, but he's not an ace.
I have to disagree for a couple of reasons. Every game we play against the Cards affects the standings by one full game. If the Reds get swept they're a full 6 games back. Also, at some point, you have to feel like you can beat the best...right now that's STL, and right now the Reds haven't shown the ability to do so.
These are the kind of pitchers we'll face in the playoffs. We better start doing something.

So far it seems this team goes as Votto goes.... I really believe Ludwick was a huge injury to sustain.... The LF triumphrate has performed admirably but having someone with scary power in the middle of your lineup is tough; especially when Dusty does not set the lineup accordingly
Plus Ludwick brought some actual veteran leadership
