    He has pitched better his last two times out. I agree he can certainly turn it around.

    But there have been a number of troubling stats.
    False. Until the 6 ER performance, his FIP was 3.00. He was having a good season, overall, until that time. He'd only given up runs in five of 25 appearances. Further, despite the blow-up in one game, his OPS against is a respectable .700. Take away that one game, and it was in the .500's. That is actually a very good season.

    Smoltz had a similar outing years back and it took the entire season for his numbers to catch up. The fact that Brox's ERA isn't much higher is pretty good.
    I'm not going to do it again, I've posted Broxton's stats in other threads.

    He hasn't had a good year. His K rate is down. His ERA is poor. His LOB rate is poor. His velocity is down.

    He showed signs of improvement his last times out. But this is not a lights out reliever, not so far this season.

    chapman has not been sharp, i swear every win against the Cards the Reds have to scrap, claw and fight and rarely get an easy win like they would get over us
