Redszone doesn't surprise me much after 13 years. But to come in to this thread and read that DUSTY lost this game? W.O.W.
Baseball is like church. Many attend, few understand
The starting pitching for the Cardinals with come back down to earth as the season goes on too. We will be fine.
But they don't match up well with the Cardinals. And I don't see anything the Reds can do to improve their matchup chances.
Cardinals should easily win the division and have the best record in the NL and probably MLB.
Reds should make the playoffs. I don't see any other NL teams that are lighting it up.
"I can't take this homerism anymore." - 10xWSChamps, August 11, 2010. A Cardinals fan having a problem with all the homerism on Redszone. Classic.

I'm a little confused. Didn't we beat the Redbirds by 9 games last year. And that was with Stubbs in the lineup every day. If Le Cure had done his job tonight we'd have taken 2 out of three and we'd be 2 back. Stop over reacting.
A loss always hurt. But nobody in baseball has gone 162-0 or even 132-30.

"Where Have All The Goose Gossages Gone"?
That was like knocking down the podium at graduation.
It always amazes me how Dusty arrives to these decisions. There is no way in Hades he knew enough of about Partch to think he would do better against Holliday than Hoover.
Chapman not going two is sickening. The right move there was double switching Frazier for Hannhan. Frazier looked lost at the plate all game anyway and Hannahan would have been a solid lefty to face Rosenthal after Hanigan. If Jack was lousy in the field at third, I would understand it. Heck, switch Izturis for Cozart who made the last out in the 8th.
Welcome to The Show, Mr. Partch.
Zero chance the Reds miss the playoffs!
