I was at this game probably 5 years ago now. You couldn't see anything from up high, but if you were at field level you could see fine.
Granted, not sure how it effects fly balls.

The center field camera is way out there, filming through a LOT of fog. If you were standing at SS you would be able to see a lot better.
I'm still waiting to see what happens when someone really skies one though, that could be trouble.
