6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)

    Cincinnati Reds:
    CF: Shin-Soo Choo
    SS: Zack Cozart
    1B: Joey Votto
    2B: Brandon Phillips
    RF: Jay Bruce
    3B: Todd Frazier
    LF: Xavier Paul
    C: Ryan Hanigan
    SP: Tony Cingrani

    Chicago Cubs:
    2B: Darwin Barney
    3B: Cody Ransom
    1B: Anthony Rizzo
    LF: Alfonso Soriano
    RF: Scott Hairston
    C: Welington Castillo
    SS: Starlin Castro
    CF: Ryan Sweeney
    SP: Matt Garza

    Predictions:
    (1) No base-clearing brawls
    (2) Cingrani throws a lot of pitches, but does well. He doesn't make it through the 5th inning.
    (3) A player whose name rhymes with "Boo" gets hit by a pitch.
    (4) Reds win

Soriano has been Cingrani's nemesis. I have advice for Tony. Don't walk him but don't give him anything to hit.

Sitting at the bar across from Wrigley prior to heading in. My first time here in 10 years. Wish me luck rooting for the Reds.

He could follow Bailey's blueprint last night....throw him a bender that ends up down and away or in the dirt....he'll swing. Struck him out thrice.

What's this, now? The Cubs's pitcher is on "Garza time", and that's why we're running late?

    That's a freakin' understatement!

Can't MLB bust him for that? I know the team/manager can, but can't MLB step in if they're not controlling the little richard cranium?

Can someone ask Garza when he'd like the games to start from now on?

Great. Cozart with another first-pitch popout, and it's two out.

I wanted to use more colorful terms but I can't afford too many more Redszone infractions. :P

And ya I'm surprised MLB doesn't do something about that especially when he does it regularly...I mean if I am an paid advertiser I wouldn't be too happy about anyone that might change the channel because the game isn't started when it is supposed to.

Sure I'd blame Garza but you have to put some of the blame on the coach.

On second thought it's probably just because it's the Cubs.
