I believe there is post on Deadspin which demonstrates it pretty clearly.

Easy inning for Wood. Runs could be few and far between today.

Geez, it may have something to do with the fact that Cozart is 1 for 13 with 6 K's against Wood, making today a good opportunity to give Zach a day off. There is, more likely than not, solid reasoning for the lineup changes that Dusty makes if one takes the time to research it. Also, he doesn't like his players rotting on the bench. Each player will get some time on the field.

The Dusty bashing seems to be overtaking these game threads anymore.

Funny. When I saw the lineup earlier I thought that this is the worst lineup of the season by Dusty.

Why bunch up your lefty hitters against Wood? I can speculate, as I did in an earlier post, but on reflection it really makes very little sense to me.

Why sit Cozart against Wood? Four game series, one lefty starter, Wood, so this game you sit him? Izturis is a switch hitter, he can go 0-4 from either side.

Wood doesn't have great control, if the Reds wait him out that might help, but I would have used a very different lineup today.

P.S. I see that Cozart has a poor hitting record against Wood. Fine, but until the team adds some righty pop, I still would have used him.

I do not see my post as dusty bashing, it was simply something I noticed and disagreed with.

13 at bats = small sample size.

Oh my god! the Dusty bashing is out of control! Shame you for using logic.

Good bunt by Robinson but a better play by Wood to throw him out. 1-0 Cubs in the third.

Not sure Robinson was out there, but Wood really is a good athlete and made a nice play.

I once saw Wood beat out a triple and he really can motor. Very good athlete.

This one will be tough for the Reds.

A Mike Leake who gives up all these long fly balls is not going to be successful.

    Throw grounders, Michael.

So far, he seems to be getting away with it, save that home run, but yeah, more grounders are needed.

Heh, no the game hasn't ended yet. 1-0 Cubs through three.

End of 3....Reds trailing 1-0. Leake at 36 pitches, Wood at 35.

Not over yet, but it's not going to take long with these two dudes pitching.

Phillips flies to right to end the inning, and the Reds are still hitless
