Okay, Iztruris gets a hit, and that's the no-hitter gone. First and second for the Reds.

The dribbler was so slow and to the right spot that Izturis got on. Great job by Dusty sending the runner to open up the hole.
Really? REALLY? Of all the guys to bust it up it's Cesar?!? LOL.

Who else but our best hitter to get the 1st hit
Tom Servo (06-12-2013)
Izturis breaking up the no hitter in the 5th. Seemed like the obvious call.
Of course Izturis was the one to break up the no hitter. Who did you think it would be?

Good to have a better 9-hitter than 8-hitter about now
Did you guys see that Travis Wood has a SHUTOUT going?

Have to try to keep Wood from going past six innings. Any extra pitches he has to make gets us to that Cubs' bullpen and a chance to pull this out.

Wood just doesn't let you get much....'wood' on the ball.
In the 6th it will be the Reds third time up against Wood. They will get him.

Well, if this is your love you might ask for a divorce around now, LOL. Reds scoreless through five.
I guess mostly this lineup shows the impact of Ludwick's absence against LHP. The only RHH who is hitting lefties hard is Phillips. Reds used to destroy lefty pitching but right now don't have the righty bats to do it.
Still think the Reds should have obtained a stop gap righty bat with some power during Ludwick's absence and still think Cozart should be in there today.
