Votto and Bruce are #2 and #3 in OPS vs. lefties.,......and Phillips split them up.

    What exactly are you recommending?

Regardless very poor ABs in the top of the 8th to squander a much needed insurance run.

KC can correct me if I am wrong, but I think he is saying this will be exhibit A when Dusty later on says "told ya you have to split up those lefties"

But Votto/Phillips/Bruce has been the lineup all year.

Odd. You conveniently forgot about Mr. Choo. He isn't doing quite so well against lefties.

I would have used the usual lineup today.

    Choo, Cozart, Votto, Phillips, Bruce.

Robinson got the double. In my lineup he would have hit second, seventh, or eighth.

Strike three, great pitch by Leake.

    Anyone warming in the pen?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Though anything like this should never be looked at using an individual case, but through a 162-game schedule.

I'd take a lineup of Choo, Phillips, Votto, Bruce, Frazier, etc. anyday over what Dusty has put out there.

Why can two Righties bat 3rd/4th, but two Lefties can't? Two Righties have batted 3rd/4th successfully over the last dozen decades as well as two Lefties too numerous of times to even list here.

Again, Choo fanned there. It's not the Votto, Phillips, Bruce part I'm referring to.

    It's hitting Choo second.

Robinson played that kinda strange...but it's an out. 2-1 Reds after 8 full.

So, Choo would have made an out, and Robinson would have doubled....leaving the same scenario of Votto/Phillips/Bruce.....the Reds three best hitters vs. lefties coming up.

When you have a lefty that can hit lefties.......well, nevermind.

LeCure and Parra were up at the start of that inning. Personally...I let Leake finish it out. Just slightly over 100 pitches right now and he's mowing them down lately.

    Standing-O, to you, Mike.

Another great outing. Especially in a period where the bullpen hasn't been trustworthy of late.
