Close game no reason to lose Frazier's bat.

Now it is Hannahan and Choo likely to face a southpaw.

Is Hannahan so good a hitter you can't waste him?

I would have burned Jack and used Derrick R to lead off next inning.

I feel a bit dumber from watching this poorly played game. Simon over Lecure... Egad.

And Manny Parra in to hopefully wrap up the inning.

I counter with close game is no reason to burn a bat in what could go extras. Get a defensive replacement in (not that it's completely needed), and let the pitcher be the 8th due up instead of first due up.

Now if Hanahan had actually got an at bat in, I'm all for Frazier staying in and Hanahan taking a shower.

Even more ideally, cozart was in the 8 hole, and hanahan replaced him...
    Is it "next season" yet?

I know it's prolly the right call but I don't like parra coming into 1 run games with the tying run in scoring position

Frazier has the best UZR rating on the Reds. He doesn't need a defensive replacement.

Your method didn't burn Hannahan, true.

    You burned Frazier.

    Handy Manny comes through.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Parra does the job. I was not real confident there.

Parra is ok in exactly that role. Nothing more.
